The final ratings for 6×09: Night Terrors are in and was viewed by 7.07 million viewers. Thats a drop by about 1.03 million viewers from last weeks episode. ITV’s Red or Black had 7.11 million viewers but during the time it aired with Doctor Who. Doctor Who still remained ahead in the figures with a sizeable audience moving from Doctor Who to Red or Black when the program finished.
Meanwhile in Australia. 6×09: Night Terrors was put up against football finals and won a audience of 660,000 viewers. It was the eighth most watched program in Australia for the day following from News Bulletins and Football Finals. Confidential Cutdown which aired after Doctor Who was watched by 443,00 viewers.
The Overnight figures are in for 6×10: The Girl Who Waited and was viewed by 6.0 million viewers. Thats a rise 0f 0.5 million from last weeks episode. The episode had a 26.8% share of the audience and the third highest rated show of the evening. The overnight figures don’t take into account the amount of viewings from delayed recordings or viewing on the BBC iPlayer. ITV’s The X Factor came first with 10.6 million viewers and followed by the launch of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing which had around 7.6 million viewers. The show slaughtered ITV’s Red & Black in the ratings which lost 2 million viewers from last week and dipped down to 4.6 million viewers.
There currently are no viewership figures for Doctor Who Confidential on BBC Three and the final figures will be released in 7 days time. Doctor Who currently stands at 18th for the week.
